Despite becoming the talk of the town among Hollywood's elite, Taylor Swift will not be making an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine. For the past year, fans have indulged in wild theories about the pop star's cameo in the upcoming movie, but everyone from the stars to the directors has remained coy or tight-lipped about the possibility. An update recently confirmed the worst fears for Swifties who were eagerly anticipating Swift's to appear in Deadpool & Wolverine. Yet, this dazzling snub from the tag team comes with a significant twist involving Kevin Feige.

It seems too early, however, for fans to give up on Swift’s MCU debut since the Marvel boss has himself paved the road of a newer set of anticipation.

Last October, rumors ran rampant when Taylor Swift was seen with Deadpool & Wolverine stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, along with director Shawn Levy, at a Kansas City NFL game, sparking speculation about her MCU debut as Dazzler. In the months that followed, Levy remained coy about the cameo, and Reynolds echoed his sentiments. Although Entertainment Weekly recently revealed that Taylor Swift will not be appearing in Deadpool & Wolverine, MyTimeToShineHello on X informed Kevin Feige’s persisting interest in Swift’s MCU debut.

In late May, insider Daniel Richtman updated his Patreon profile about Swift’s meeting with Feige to discuss a role in the MCU. Fans speculated that she might have a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, but there was also the possibility of her playing other characters from Marvel comics. Despite the disappointing news about her absence from Deadpool & Wolverine, Swift continues to be a significant point of interest for the MCU, which might be planning a different role for her that fans have not anticipated.

After the meeting, the insider also suggested a possible role that MCU had selected for Swift to portray.

Daniel Richtman’s Patreon update about Taylor Swift’s meeting with Kevin Feige was soon followed by reports from the same insider suggesting that the MCU had been considering the pop star for the role of Blonde Phantom. Although neither the meeting nor the role's identity was made public, fans went into a frenzy until another update arrived like a bad blow.

A week later, another Hollywood insider, MyTimeToShineHello on X, claimed that the role of Blonde Phantom is actually being eyed for Sydney Sweeney, not Swift. While missing out on Deadpool & Wolverine seems like a second snub in a row, the same insider revealed that Feige still has an interest in Swift playing a role in the MCU. Therefore, only time will tell which role the pop star will eventually take to make her MCU debut.
