Taylor Swift Inspiration: BFF Blake Lively Draws Parallels Between Lily’s Character Arc in ‘It Ends With Us’ in Swift’s Musical Eras
Pop star Taylor Swift does not only influence the music industry but the entire world around her. Be it religious practices or academic systems, Swift and her music have dictated all forms of art and culture. At this point, it is more of a cultural phenomenon, casting a shining light on diverse aspects of life. And as if the film industry has not been blessed by her already, her best friend Blake Lively's recent blockbuster hit has not been spared of the same either.
It Ends With Us, Lively's latest flick has also fallen under Swift's spell, as the Gossip Girl star breaks her song inspirations into the narratives in the movie.

In her latest interview with Hits Radio, Blake Lively discussed her character Lily Bloom's transformation in It Ends With Us with the fans and audience. Upon asking, she categorized each stage of Lily's development to a specific Taylor Swift era. Initially, Lively connected Lily's prime and youth to Swift's 'Fearless' era, followed by the 'Red', and finally, the 'Reputation' era, highlighting the three main phases of Lily's character.
The actress, however, was soon to add that Taylor Swift's recent release, 'The Tortured Poet's Department', also resonates with Lily's character. She explained that this album captures Swift's various eras, coinciding with her Eras Tour. According to Blake Lively, “that’s the time she’s doing The Eras Tour and re-recording all of her music,” so that album incorporates all of her different eras so far.
Not just Taylor Swift, Blake Lively and her beloved, Ryan Reynolds are having the entire era to themselves.
