Sydney Sweeney may be the epitome of glamor on the red carpet while also simultaneously giving model-off-duty vibes every time she steps out, but ultimately the actress' golden streak lies in her chameleon-like abilities to get into the skin of every role that she takes on. Be it nailing every degree of breakdown with Cassie in Euphoria or being the deer caught in the headlights in Immaculate. 

The Emmy-nominated actress' talent along with her pop culture relevance, when viewed alongside the announcement that Britney Spears' biopic is now in the works, sets the stage for her to play the role. Highlighting the resemblance and hoping to strike lightning in a bottle, Billboard suggested Sydney Sweeney play the role of Britney Spears while curating their dream cast for the biopic, based on The Woman in Me surprisingly causing an uproar of approval.

Given Britney Spears' coveted status in pop culture back in the day and even now, her biopic and who makes the cut is a big deal for pop culture fanatics. The casting of Britney Spears in her biopic, however, has the same magnitude of significance, or perhaps even more than the casting of Superman did for DC fans. And much like in the case of Superman, there is more than just one strong contender, with even Millie Bobby Brown having eyed the role long back, who Billboard suggested playing Jamie Lynn Spears.

With Sydney Sweeney making proving from the get-go that she is a jack of all trades, the Internet was loud in their support of the casting.

As she made her way to the ranks of the brightest stars of Hollywood, Sydney Sweeney was chased by similar cameras and narratives that haunted Britney Spears at her peak. This along with several other elements ranging, has made Sweeney's casting as Spears all the more convincing. While they rallied in support of the actress, they did not shy away from asking important questions such as whether or not she could do a handspring.

Users were so pleased with Billboard's pick that they went as far as to describe it as the "perfect" casting choice for the role. However, an opposing sentiment rallying for Addison Rae was equally loud as the approval for Sydney Sweeney.
