A recent award season prediction by Awards Daily suggests that Selena Gomez is not just catching everyone’s attention in Hollywood, but is sticking around for more than one reason. The site released its picks for Supporting Actor and Actress, and Gomez could snag a nomination for Emilia Pérez across three majorly prestigious events: the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and the Oscars. While Gomez’s performance in Emilia Pérez already had the potential of a front-runner, she was not alone in that squad.

Zoe Saldana, like Gomez, has been recognized for her strong potential and could also land a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Emilia Pérez at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and the Oscars. Other actresses predicted to score nominations in all three events in the same category include Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson, Saoirse Ronan for Blitz, Felicity Jones for The Brutalist, and Toni Collette for Juror No. 2.

Although these predictions offer fans a glimpse into the future of the ‘Wolves’ singer's acting career, it is not the first time she has made the rounds in Oscar buzz.

Selena Gomez’s musical crime comedy Emilia Pérez has been the buzz of Hollywood for months and for all the right reasons. Variety praised some “standout moments” from the actress in the film, particularly in 'El Camino.' Given the Oscars' track record of nominating two supporting actresses from the same film about 33% of the time, the outlet predicted that Gomez could land an Academy Award nomination. 

At the same time, Zoe Saldana, who has also been popping up in predictions everywhere, could either campaign for the lead or end up in the supporting actress category. When the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, it picked up several awards, including Gomez winning Best Actress. Now, with award-season predictions favoring the newly minted billionaire, it will not be long before fans hear her name in those nerve-racking announcements.
