In The Fall Guy, Ryan Gosling may adopt the persona of a Swiftie, but in reality, his admiration for Taylor Swift runs even deeper. While his character Colt Seavers finds solace in the guilty pleasure of immersing in Swift's music and shedding tears over heartbreaks on screen, Gosling appears to appreciate the pop star beyond fiction genuinely. Thus, for those wondering about Gosling's personal favorites, it is evident that he indeed has one.

Gosling’s choice further suggests that he, like countless others, is fully immersed in the Taylor Swift era, and interestingly, so is his co-star for the movie.

In a recent interview with Fandango, Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, and David Leitch gathered to discuss their upcoming film, The Fall Guy, and shared their appreciation for Taylor Swift. When the interviewer queried the Barbie actor about who holds the title of the bigger Swiftie, him or Colt, Gosling promptly referred to himself in the third person, staking his claim as the more devoted fan. Moreover, when asked about his favorite song, Gosling revealed that 'All Too Well' holds a "real soft spot" in his heart.

Similarly, when Blunt was questioned about her affinity for Swift, she responded with a rhetorical, "Who isn’t?" However, when pressed about her favorite song by Swift, Blunt opted for 'Cruel Summer,' expressing that it holds a significant place for her. While the Oppenheimer actress appeared satisfied with her choice, Gosling, despite being the more ardent Swiftie in reality, opted for the song featured in the movie's trailer.

When the trailer of The Fall Guy was first released during the Super Bowl, the scene that sparked global intrigue was of Colt Seavers, played by Ryan Gosling crying to ‘All Too Well’ in the car. At first, the speculation was high since fans could not grasp whether the music was part of the movie or just a highlighted emotion to suit the trailer. However, after its premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on March 12, all doubts dissipated since a surge of reviews came in to laud the “absolutely brilliant” and strategic use of Swift’s music.

Speaking to Variety, David Leitch also teased how “there’s some Taylor” without giving away too much. He added, “We love taytay and so does Colt Seavers”. Furthermore, in talks with The Hollywood Reporter as well, he justified the use of Swift’s song, saying how it has the required amount of emotional veracity to highlight the emotional palette of the movie and its character. Given Ryan Gosling is set to play the same, it is justified why his choice undeniably echoes that of Colt Seavers.
