Meghan Markle attended the special screening of Netflix’s short film, The After. It took place in a private residence in Montecito, California. The Duchess of Sussex wore an elegant brown ensemble featuring a blazer layered over a darker brown high-neck top and paired it up with trousers in the same shade as the blazer. To acknowledge Markle’s support, Harriman shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, and expressed how special it was for him to have guests like Markle to witness the movie.
Harriman thanked all the guests and the OTT giant for hosting the event. Filmmaking was not Harriman’s primary profession, as he was mostly popular as a photographer. Even Meghan Markle’s connection with Harriman also stems from his profession as a photographer. However, in an interview with Krish Majumdar, Harriman shared that cinema was always his “first love” where he found “love, safety, solace”.
Markle’s connection with Harriman and Oyelowo goes back in time. While one supported her, another collaborated for a very special cause that provided aid to the remote corners of the world.

Misan Harriman is the man behind the lens for one of the most memorable portraits of Markle and Prince Harry. He snapped the royal couple’s second pregnancy announcement in February 2021. He also clicked the first official portrait of the Sussexes’s second child, Princess Lilibet at her birthday party. The Nigerian-born British photographer even appeared in the controversial docuseries of the Sussexes, Harry & Meghan.
Harriman also came forward on many occasions to take the Sussexes’ stand. This included the episode of the Metropolitan police charges involving the couple. Meanwhile, David Oyelowo joined hands with Markle to provide education, medical care, and emotional support to young female victims of terrorism and gender inequality in Nigeria with The GEANCO Foundation.
