Britney Spears is a name that needs no introduction. Before Taylor Swift claimed the title of the decade’s foremost pop sensation, it was Spears who pushed the boundaries of the pop music genre to unprecedented heights. Despite the star’s waning fame over time for numerous reasons, she still resonates with millennials who understand the profound impact her music had on their generation. And the response to her memoir, The Woman in Me, is a prime example of it.
The biopic of the pop star based on her memoir has been doing the rounds for quite some time. Rumors also suggested that Margot Robbie would be playing the role of Britney Spears in the speculated biopic. Recently, the actress shared the truth behind rumors of her association with the biopic.

Britney Spears’ memoir received 1.1 million in the U.S. in its first week and became The New York Times best-seller. The anticipated project pulled big names in its association, including Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, and Margot Robbie. However, recently at Variety’s Power of Women event, Robbie revealed that she is in fact not in any way related to the project. “I’m just hearing that tonight, it’s not true”, said the Barbie actress.
The rumors started to spread after The Ankler revealed that Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine production and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment have been gearing up to produce a biopic of the ‘Gimme More’ singer. However, as per the report, there are many other top studios, streamers, and producers who are vying for the rights to the bombshell memoir. While the 90s pop sensation is making Hollywood chase her memoir, talks about the memoirs of the new-age pop goddess quashed even before they could take off.
Earlier this year, rumors about Taylor Swift’s memoir spread like wildfire throughout Tinseltown. However, it turned out to be a book about a very popular boy band that has a fanbase as enthusiastic as Taylor Swift’s.

It all started after Good Neighbor Bookstore dropped a hint on TikTok regarding a “top secret” book that was about to hit the shelves on July 9. This gave rise to a barrage of fan theories about how the book could be related to Taylor Swift. The rumors gained traction because Swift announced the release of a revamped version of ‘Speak Now’ on July 7th. This was a mere two days before the book’s scheduled release. The fact that she started her announcement with “Dear readers” also added to the speculations.
Fans also came up with a theory based on the pages of the memoir. The memoir consisted of 544 pages. The sum of the individual digits becomes 13, which is Swift’s favorite and much-referenced number. However, all these speculations and theories came to an end after CNN revealed that the mystery book was actually by the Korean band BTS, titled Beyond the Story: 10-Year Record of BTS. While Swift isn’t currently planning a memoir, Britney Spears’ memoir will surely serve as a huge window into the journey of the ‘Princess of Pop’.
