Margot Robbie Cannot Stop Raving About Her ‘Barbie’ Crooner Billie Eilish’s Latest Album
Barbie was a pop culture phenomenon in 2023. But it was also the music behind the Greta Gerwig movie that became a show-stealer in its own right. One of the most popular songs from the movie’s collection was the painstakingly beautiful, ‘What Was I Made For?’, by Billie Eilish. The track became the tenth song in history to win both an Oscar and a Grammy, along with being the sad-girl anthem of last summer. Now, Eilish has yet again won hearts with her new album, ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’.
It is, however, not just fans who are floored by this new album; even Margot Robbie has nothing but praise for the 2024 drop.

Billie Eilish recently pulled a prank call segment with Elle, where she dialed up Margot Robbie, asking her to shoot a music video at her place. As soon as Robbie answered, the actress did not waste any time in showering Eilish with compliments for ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’. “It’s unreal, we f***ing listen to it all the time,” said The Suicide Squad actress, who is apparently “obsessed” with the 2024 album, leaving Eilish’s cheeks red in front of the camera.
Eilish, nonetheless, continued with the prank until she finally disclosed what was going on upon sensing that Robbie was actually “racking” her brain over it. The 22-year-old then promised to send Margot Robbie flowers for how sweetly she responded to the prank. While ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ became a chart-topping album, it was not without its fair share of controversies.
From track list leaks to tough competition, ‘HIT ME HARD AND SOFT’ had its share of bumps along the road.

Billie Eilish released 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' on May 17 this year. However, the album’s tracklist was already spilled before the official release by the leading publication, Rolling Stone, which did not sit well with the artist. Taking to Instagram, Eilish let her feelings fly, saying, “F**k you guys.” She followed up with another story, making it crystal clear who she was upset with, saying, “F**k Rolling Stone.” But that was not the end of it.
As soon as Eilish released her album, Taylor Swift announced 'The Tortured Poets Department' variants, which were alleged to be an attempt to steal the ‘lovely’ singer’s thunder. Swift was also accused of trying to block Eilish off the charts to stay ahead in the game. Nonetheless, despite all the hurdles, 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' made history by surpassing 300,000 units in the same tracking week.
