Both Kim Kardashian and Cardi B have been pushing against the stereotypical narrative that motherhood can detract from a woman’s attractiveness. Owing to their bold and powerful persona, they formed a friendship rooted in their shared traits a few years back. However, fans assumed that their bond lost its spark over the years, as they never hung out with each other since 2018. But their latest Cardi B X SKIMS post said otherwise.

Kanye West‘s video dishing about Cardi B’s rise to fame, and her shocking revelations about Kim Kardashian‘s contacts with plastic surgeons sowed the seeds of the supposed issues between the rapper and the socialite. Nevertheless, after the collaboration for advertising the latest collection from her SKIMS shapewear brand, it seemed like they were still on the same wavelength. However, that is not how everyone feels. Ever since Kim Kardashian shared Cardi’s video clip from the advertisement, fans were not sure of the wording of the caption.

After seeing the outrage under the post, the 42-year-old Kardashian changed her caption on X, formerly Twitter. Kardashian went from calling Cardi a “Grammy-winning icon” to simply writing “CARDI B FOR SKIMS” in her caption. However, the previous caption is still available on the official SKIMS page. Recently, an X page shared the news of a caption switch on the platform that sparked major reactions from both the stars’ fans. 

Apart from fans, the rapper’s verified X fan page also noticed the caption switch and expressed an opinion in the comments below Kim Kardashian’s post!

Fan reactions to the caption switch by Kim Kardashian

Cardi B donned a ribbed crop vest top and matching bike shorts in the viral video that has been causing a stir on the internet. In the clip, the ‘WAP’ artist asks “Everybody is wearing SKIMS. Are you?”, with her burgundy red strands flowing. While some questioned why Kim Kardashian edited the caption, others found calling Cardi a “Grammy-winning icon” laughable. 

While many netizens went all out to say that calling the ‘WAP’ singer an icon was touching too high, a Cardi B fan page expressed its disappointment over the changed caption under Kim Kardashian’s post. The page also shared a screenshot of the previous caption. 

Many even felt there was no need to change the caption. While others continued to make fun of Cardi B in the comments. 

This was not the first time a post by Kim Kardashian had amassed a massive uproar in the comments section. However, the fact that the post had something to do with whether or not Cardi B was an “icon” has catapulted the post into a trans-genre discussion, igniting contrasting views from fashion and music connoiseur.
