As new updates about Euphoria Season 3 surface, one major change that the creators are reported to be introducing is a ‘time jump’. This jump will end the high school setting of the teenagers and introduce them to a new backdrop. Fans on X believe that this change was due to the influence of the diss track ‘Euphoria’, which was allegedly aimed at the show itself, executively produced by Drake.

While some believe ‘Euphoria’ was a direct diss aimed at Drake’s teen drama show, others think the title simply reflected Lamar’s excitement about releasing the diss track. Nonetheless, whether or not the recent changes to the show were influenced by Lamar sparked heated discourse online.

The time jump in Euphoria Season 3 is expected to be around five years, which will also allow the actors to play characters closer to their ages for once on the show. It will be interesting to witness the transition of Euphoria characters from their teenage selves to adulthood in the third season. This, in particular, has led fans to deny the "Kendrick Lamar influence" claim, and rather assert that it was high time for the show to make these tweaks, which were already about to happen anyway.
