According to Culture Crave on X, Kendrick Lamar and the brains behind South Park, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone, are already deep into filming their upcoming comedy. The post even teased a sneak peek of the fancy set in Pomona, California, where all the magic is presently happening. The story reportedly follows a Black guy interning as a slave reenactor at a history museum, only to find out his white girlfriend’s ancestors owned his family.
The new live-action comedy is set to drop on July 4, 2025, according to earlier reports. Paramount Pictures is on board to distribute it, and the announcement came during Paramount’s CinemaCon presentation, where they rolled out teasers and trailers for all their exciting projects. Vernon Chatman penned the story and alongside Parker and Stone, Lamar and his PGLang partner Dave Free have stepped in to produce this gem.
