The Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively controversy has grown far beyond just a petty ego clash between colleagues. What started as a professional disagreement has now snowballed into a massive legal battle, putting the reputations of everyone involved at risk. Things have escalated to such an intense level that there seems to be no way back. Lively, who initially filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of running a smear campaign against her, is now facing a counterattack. The It Ends With Us director has now fired back with his own lawsuit.

Baldoni is targeting Lively alongside Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift, claiming the couple essentially hijacked the production of It Ends With Us and that the pop superstar played a key role in the entire ordeal.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's reputations are likely to face even more damage as their legal battle heats up. But they are not the only ones under fire. According to Baldoni’s lawsuit, Ryan Reynolds, Lively’s husband, and Taylor Swift, a close friend of the Hollywood power couple, allegedly strong-armed Baldoni into accepting one of Lively's rewrites for the film. During pre-production, Lively reportedly asked to "take a pass" on the film's famous rooftop scene. Baldoni claims that after his "exceedingly mild resistance," Lively "went silent for multiple days."

Later, however, Lively allegedly sent a text saying his reaction to her rewrite "didn’t feel great" for her or for Reynolds and what Baldoni referred to as "another megacelebrity friend." That “megacelebrity friend” was later revealed to be Taylor Swift. Earlier, it was also alleged that Reynolds interfered in the script for the rooftop scene. However, this is the first time Swift has been directly named in the legal filings.

While this is the first formal mention of Swift in the lawsuit, her name has been circulating around the controversy for a while.

Taylor Swift has been a constant presence in this ongoing scandal. From inviting Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds to her Rhode Island home for some much-needed downtime to offering the Gossip Girl alum emotional support, Swift has made it clear where her loyalties lie. However, this support has raised some red flags for Justin Baldoni and his team. Some documents that have recently surfaced hinted at their concerns.

An email from Baldoni’s crisis management team, reported by US Weekly, explicitly referenced Taylor Swift. The email, referring to her as "TS," stated, “BL does have some of the same TS fanbase so we will be taking it extremely seriously” And it is easy to see why. Many Swifties have openly rallied behind Lively during the backlash, making Swift’s involvement even more significant in the eyes of Baldoni’s team. Now, the question is how much deeper Taylor Swift will be pulled into this feud — and how her involvement will impact the battle.
