As her big releases are lining up, Jenna Ortega gave a long and detailed interview to The Cut Magazine in which she talked about her upcoming shows, her work process, and much more. In it, her co-star The Weeknd’s comments were also added, who found Ortega’s process ugly and honest. Describing how he felt about it, he said, "Jenna channeled something so raw, she truly scared the f--- out of me,” through email.
Jenna Ortega is all set to dazzle the audience with the second season of Wednesday. But before that, she will be entertaining the fans in the experimental meta thriller, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Being true to her famous form, she wanted to be in this project due to one compelling scene in which her character starts crying uncontrollably inside a tunnel. For such portrayals of her character in The Weeknd, and his director, Trey Edward, compared Ortega to Isabelle Adjani’s in the 1981 psychological-horror film Possession.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is a movie made for The Weeknd's album with the same name and unravels his pop persona. In the interview, Ortega provided insights into what she does for preparation.
Jenna Ortega reflects on her role prepration process
In the Cut interview, Jenna Ortega described her working process and explained that whenever she starts preparing for a job, she watches movies to learn about it. She said in the interview, "Any time I join a job, I love to pretend it’s necessary to watch five films.” Ortega knows that this is not a very good habit and calls herself poor with time management.
