How Taylor Swift Was a Helping Hand to Sydney Sweeney While Filming This Dystopian Tale in 2018
Taylor Swift has had a significant impact on the music business since her debut in 2006. Aside from her music, the singer is well known for offering a helping hand to her friends and admirers, whether by any means or by the lyrical strains of her songs. This became obvious when she lent her million-dollar mansion to Sophie Tuner and her daughter during her ongoing divorce from Joe Jonas. But, while this occurred recently, the singer previously assisted Sydney Sweeney in her own unique way.
In a past interview, Sweeney recalled how the ‘Reputation’ singer got her through a difficult filming experience.

Everyone was surprised when Sydney Sweeney was cast as Eden in The Handmaid’s Tale. In an interview with Glamour in 2018, she revealed how she and her co-stars used to listen to Swift’s songs to distract themselves from the “horrors” of the series. She further added that her co-stars were “beyond hilarious” and would “goof around” when the cameras were off. Further, she added how her co-star Max Minghella could sing every word from Swift’s 2017 album ‘Reputation.’
During the same interview, the actress shared how she had got the role. She claimed she was in the “middle of dog training” when she got the call from her agent and was leaping up and down. After calming herself down, she dashed to her car and called her mother to share the wonderful news. She further revealed that she had watched the first season of the show with her mother, and how being a part of it felt like a dream come true.

Millions of Swifties have their own stories about how the artist has helped them through difficult times. This adoration, however, was brought to a whole new level when the pop musician played a critical role amid growing tensions in Middle Eastern countries. A 13-year-old Israeli girl named Renana Botzer Swissa revealed to CBS News how her mother Ilanit kept her calm by talking about the “Taylor Swift show they planned to attend” next summer.
While trapped in a room and discussing the ‘Cruel Summer’ diva, the mother-daughter duo kept their minds elsewhere. Botzer Swissa went on to say that it gave her “hope” and that picturing herself in Europe and dancing to Swift’s tantalizing beats in June 2024 provided her the fortitude she needed to fight back against the horrific circumstances.
