Fame could be a subjective experience, but with global recognition comes the weight of putting best foot affront. Specifically, stars who have confronted popularity in their early years have often chosen the road less trodden because media and tabloid scrutiny naturally defy a normalized lifestyle. Although the industry consists of several such names, Hailey Bieber recently reflected on the consequences of adolescent stardom on artists close to her heart, Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber.

Both Eilish and Bieber have been faces of early acclaim and unsurprisingly, their teenage years have been teemed with digital and media surveillance.

Billie Eilish is determined to reconnect with her former self, aiming to bring back the essence of her 'When We All Fall Asleep' era with her new project, 'Hit Me Hard and Soft'. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Eilish acknowledged the need to step out of her comfort zone, having spent years homebound confined by her fame. Hailey Bieber revealed to the publication that Eilish had previously confided in her about this struggle and believes this is an experience that is commonplace between Eilish and Justin Bieber.

The Rhodes founder, however, could not relate to it because of her “completely normal young-person experience” that allowed her to cherish her teenage life to the fullest. Yet, she did sympathize with both their struggles and specifically Eilish’s, because to experience the rollercoaster of life in front of gawking eyes is no easy thing for any young woman. Bieber added that to feel constantly being examined for the merest of things could be a really dismaying struggle but she also gave the due credit to Eilish for her desire to overcome those fears.

When Billie Eilish first began dropping the Easter eggs for ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’, a sneak peek of the midriff tattoo of her album name went out on her Instagram’s Close Friends segment. Since then, she has often bore stress upon how the record is very personal and an attempt to back her resilience to get back into the world. While she did confess her fears of the round-the-clock scrutiny as a factor that contributed to her time indoors, she disclosed the other fact that resulted in her confinement was the mystery it created.

The Oscar winner felt that she was “obsessed with the mysteriousness” by a certain point in time because she had not observed the dark side of her enigma yet. She rationalized this as making her less approachable because she wanted to safeguard the cipher. Yet, she reached a moment of understanding that the intrigue serves no purpose if it ultimately traps her. While acknowledging the issue is typically the initial stride towards resolution, Eilish's swift realization, supported by Hailey Bieber's affirmation, suggests that reclaiming her former self might be closer than she perceives.
