In a recent cover story with Vogue, Gigi Hadid was found gushing over her daughter, Khai, who she co-parents with former One Direction member and her ex, Zayn Malik. The two dated for nearly six years, and during the conversation, the supermodel was found flicking through the photos on her phone, showing the adorable pictures of Malik holding Khai on the first day of pre-K. “Zayn and I do our custody schedules months in advance,” Hadid unveiled. 

Sure, there may be some changes now and then, but they go all out to “help each other and have each other’s backs.” Although Hadid and Malik may not have had the taste of forever with each other, they share this new phase of their alliance with “love and a feeling of camaraderie.” In fact, Hadid has somewhat accepted the scrutiny that will follow their relationship forever, and it is undeniably difficult when the world thinks it knows it all, when in reality, all they know is what is merely on the face value.

During her candid conversations with Vogue, Gigi Hadid accepted that despite turning a new chapter with Zayn Malik with their daughter, Khai, some things have not changed, like the piercing gaze of know-it-all. But having been in showbiz for so long, both have learned to prioritize and give the side-eye to the talk of the town because now they are far from interested in giving them their “whole story.” 

Hadid doubled down, saying her and Malik's one and only interest is raising their daughter together, co-parenting like adults, and giving Khai the life and love she deserves. That does not come with hard feelings from what they have been through, but the mutual respect that stems from it. The supermodel additionally revealed that Khai has already inherited the musicality from her father, which Malik himself hinted at, before the release of his special album, ‘Room Under the Stairs.’
