Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is all set for the X-Men debut and fans are speculating about who will bring these iconic characters to life. One such role has garnered the interest of none other than the Grammy-winning artist SZA.
SZA is currently making headlines with her audacious announcement that she wishes to play the famous weather-wielding mutant during her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. When Jennifer Hudson inquired about SZA’s acting career, she enthusiastically responded that she "would love to" play a superhero in a movie. Talking about the iconic character, SZA said, “She comes from this whole other place where it’s like the jungle. I think that would be so gnarly if I could be Storm [in an] origin story!”

Superhero culture is nothing new to SZA. 'All the Stars', a popular song from the 2018 Black Panther soundtrack that went on to earn prestigious Grammy and Academy Award nominations, was a previous collaboration between her and Kendrick Lamar. She continued to be involved in the superhero genre, most recently playing Catwoman in a well-known Super Bowl commercial and also starring in One of Them Days. It is hardly surprising that she now wants to play a Marvel icon like Storm given her increasing involvement with comic book-inspired projects.
