With a net worth of $180 billion, Elon Musk stands tall as the second wealthiest person on the planet. From creating self-piloting automobiles to launching reusable rockets, the billionaire has been at the forefront of pushing all the technological boundaries. After achieving so much in life, the SpaceX CEO is now trying to be funny too. Musk has been going all out, bombarding social media with a constant stream of memes and jokes.

Recently, Jenna Ortega, the Wednesday fame, became the target of his comedic jabs, alongside $92 million artist, The Weeknd. Elon Musk shared a meme featuring The Weeknd and Ortega fusing into one person, with a caption saying “When you think it’s The Weekend but it’s only Wednesday”. And this was not the only time the billionaire has tested out his comedic abilities online. Last month the Tesla owner poked fun at Nasa planetary defense mission with a Will Smith slapgate reference on X, formerly Twitter.

This meme came just two months after Elon Musk took a dig at the $853 million movie Oppenheimer. He shared a photo from the theatre watching the movie with a hand holding his phone, where he was watching TikTok videos. While in both cases, Musk stirred up controversy among the netizens, his latest attempt at being funny did not spark any drama.

The meme on X received a hilarious reaction from fans who turned the comments into a meme-fest.

Elon Musk used The Weeknd and Wednesday to flex his funny muscles

Elon Musk’s comedy does not align with everyone’s taste on every occasion. Numerous major publications and magazines have ridiculed the businessman’s social media antics. This includes Rolling Stone magazine, which found Musk’s comedy a set of “garbled gags, corny jokes, and pilfered memes” and the New York Times, which called Musk “the boss who thinks he’s funny but isn’t”. However, this time fans reciprocated Musk’s Wednesday X The Weeknd joke with their own memes.

Hilariously, there was little to no mention of Jenna Ortega and her hit Netflix series Wednesday. Fans did not say anything about The Weeknd either.

Netizens were on their own, sharing dank memes without any context on the platform. From political jokes to corporate jabs, fans put on a meme-fest under the post from Elon Musk.
