The year-end is often termed as the season of goodwill owing to the numerous festivities lining up. Even more so given its potential to bring people together from all pocket corners. Whether it is the near ties of family connections or friends settled across distant corners of the globe, the festive season brings tales of friendship and remembrance. In a similar way, back in 2013, Jennifer Aniston and Ed Sheeran had crossed paths for a Thanksgiving meal. 

Jennifer Aniston and Ed Sheeran go way back due to the latter’s close acquaintance with Aniston’s best friend, Courtney Cox. However, this tale of Thanksgiving was more of an awkward giving for Ed Sheeran, to be specific.

It has been more than a decade since Ed Sheeran first bonded with Jennifer Aniston. Like all good friendships, they too have their embarrassing stories, and the Thanksgiving dinner of 2013 is one of them. Sheeran once revealed at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, how he had sported “board shorts” to Aniston’s Thanksgiving dinner. The story unfolded when the ‘Photograph’ singer made a call to his friend after finishing up at his studio.

Sheeran’s friend had reportedly said, “we’re just having a chill hang”, to which he was onboard. However, upon reaching her house, he witnessed the pair enjoying a “proper Thanksgiving meal”. Although Sheeran didn’t meet the dress code for the occasion, he remarked how “It was fun.”. The stars also posed for pictures which cued at his unpreparedness for the event.

Jennifer Aniston and Ed Sheeran’s friendship has a catalyst noteworthy. And it is none other than Courtney Cox, whose relationship with the latter has been historic for many reasons.

Ed Sheeran and Courtney Cox’s alliance with each other has been vouching for ‘friendship goals’ for a decade. Having popped up quite a few times on each other’s socials before, an Instagram reel from Sheeran’s Instagram handle had left fans in delight. In the video, he sang a song which was reportedly “inspired by Friends” beside Cox herself. Ed Sheeran had also previously revealed how he had stayed at Courtney Cox’s Malibu for three months.

Sheeran did live rent-free but repaid the favor by doing the little things by making bed and preparing themselves a cup of tea. When Friends: The Reunion aired, they both celebrated by recreating a special dance from the show. Famous for their eccentric camaraderie, these two constantly exchange playful banters while keeping the audience entertained in different ways.
