This is thanks to Taylor Swift’s “beautiful” and “personal” songwriting.

“You can feel that in the way that she sings. You can feel that in her lyrics,” said the Gossip Girl alum. Lively also pointed out that the book being written by a woman, Colleen Hoover, and the complex journey of another woman is something she believes has “resonated with people”. The 36-year-old actress is not the only star of It Ends with Us who holds this opinion.

Last month, Justin Baldoni had a quick chat with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier at the premiere of The Garfield Movie. During their conversation, the actor was asked about 'My Tears Ricochet' being included in the It Ends With Us trailer and how that happened. Baldoni immediately credited the entire idea to Blake Lively and her long-time friendship with Taylor Swift.

“That's all Blake,” stated the actor, although he was a bit unsure about how Lively managed it. However, he was clearly on board with the merge. “I'm so happy that they agreed to have a song in the trailer, it's so perfect for the movie,” said the 40-year-old. It is safe to say that Blake Lively has perfectly leveraged her bond with Taylor Swift.
