The reigning queen of the pop genre, Taylor Swift has certainly conquered the world with her musical spell. Having done the same in the realm of stand-up comedy, Andrew Schulz is a known personality in his own right. A comedic maverick known to challenge the concepts of conventional humor,  Schulz is truly a representation of unfiltered wit. In 2014, he teamed up with Charlamagne tha God to form their podcast duo, The Brilliant Idiots.

When they recently sat down to discuss the current climate of the political scenario, Taylor Swift emerged as the unlikely hero amidst all the other contenders.

The Brilliant Idiots is the platform Schulz has used for almost a decade to dismantle societal norms. His latest bit that left audiences simultaneously scandalized and entertained was when he called Taylor Swift America’s current hero while also considering Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and Tom Brady for the same. Moreover, his co-host “100%” agreed with him and even delved into what makes her deserve the title. 

According to Charlamagne, the battle that she fought and won against her former agent, Scooter Braun is one of the main reasons why the public loves her so much. Well, it is true that even today, Braun is reaping the consequences of messing with Swift while Swifties continue to call him out on his actions. By reclaiming her power and launching Taylor’s version of ‘1989’ and her other albums, Charlamagne felt that she had truly won over her fans. 

Interestingly enough, unlike his recent statements, Andrew Schulz was not always a fan of the 12-time Grammy award winner.

Three months ago, Schulz declared that he had gone to see Taylor Swift perform live during an episode of The Brilliant Idiots. Now, he was convinced that the ‘Style’ singer had delivered the “greatest live concert” of all time according to him. He even compared her to icons like Michael Jackson and Beyoncé! However, earlier in a Flagrant podcast episode, he revealed that he wasn’t a fan of hers in the past. 

Only after seeing her live did he understand the majesty of all she had achieved. From “masterfully” commanding such large crowns at concerts to delivering “hundreds” of self-written hits, Schulz confessed to finally recognizing the 33-year-old’s many talents. It made him want to “apologize” to her during the live show! Lately, he takes every opportunity to dote on her. So, it can be said that he may become a Swiftie soon if he is not one already.
