After Major Music Shares With ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, Blake Lively Vows Big Emotions With ‘It Ends With Us’ Song
Deadpool & Wolverine single-handedly revived the ‘90s boy band NSYNC after two decades, merely with an iconic opening credits sequence. The entire world of TikTokers is currently busy recreating the hook steps of ‘Bye Bye Bye’. But that was not all. The 2024 movie, which marked the reunion of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on screen, blended in many iconic hits, including Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’, MISFIT's ‘The Kid’, Juice Newton's version of ‘Angel of the Morning,’ and many more.
Now, Blake Lively, who wowed everyone with her Ladypool feature, is about to recreate the same musical magic in It Ends With Us.

It Ends With Us’ trailer instantly grabbed attention for its use of one of the most self-destructive and heartbreaking songs ever written by Taylor Swift, ‘My Tears Ricochet’. Recently, during an interview with Extra TV, Lively shared that the track in the upcoming movie is used during a “very important” and “critical” life-changing moment in Lily’s journey, which changes the character’s entire “perspective” on what her future would be like.
Lively talked about the same earlier this year, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at Book Bonanza in Texas. The actress shared that she could have used any one of her bestie Taylor Swift’s songs, as they are all “unmatched”. However, not many people knew that the music of It Ends With Us and Deadpool & Wolverine had one major connection, until Blake Lively recently revealed it.
Lively took to her Instagram to state that she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, share more commonalities than people might think.

It is no secret now that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds shared the screen in Deadpool & Wolverine. However, it turns out they have also shared the same music composer for their respective lead movies. Rob Simonsen, who was behind the music production of Deadpool & Wolverine, also helmed the playlist of the soon-to-be-released romantic drama, It Ends With Us. Blake Lively recently opened up about this collaboration through an Instagram story.
“My husband and I share more than children,” joked Lively while unveiling the music of It Ends With Us to fans, mere days before its release. She acknowledged all the collaborators who put "so much love, time, & thought" into the soundtrack of the upcoming film. Simonsen reshared the story, with a caption saying, “@blakelively's music taste are second to none.” And after her selection of the iconic Taylor Swift track, Simonsen’s claim is not hard to believe.
