Fans from around the globe are mourning the unfortunate demise of the Friends star, Matthew Perry. The Canadian actor left behind a great legacy as his iconic character of Chandler Bing from the ’90s sitcom. Chandler Bing has provided comfort and warmth to millions, including celebrities such as Emilia Clarke, Charlie Puth, and Taylor Swift. While many paid their homages to the late actor, Charlie Puth’s beautiful musical tribute to the fan-favorite Chan Chan Man during his Australia concert stood out.

Even before the heartwarming respect, the ‘Attention’ singer proved to be a hard-core fan of the show and the late actor.

The ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ singer joined Courteney Cox on Billboard’s Quizzed episode in 2019 to answer questions about Friends. The fun 3-round session began with Cox asking true or false questions. One of them was about whether Chandler’s middle name was Mildred. Without even thinking, Puth answered the question, “False,” followed by the correct answer, which was Chandler Muriel Bing.

Moving ahead with the round, Cox asked about Chandler entering into a Vanilla Ice Look-alike contest and won. Of course, being a fan of the show, the singer got the answer right while cracking up remembering how hilarious it was! Although he knew Ross was also in the contest, he could not remember which place he secured. This only proved how Matthew Perry’s Chandler Bing cast a long-lasting impression.

Another hilarious moment came when the Cougar Town actress asked Puth about the time when Chandler posted the false news of Ross dying of a bite from a squirrel. Laughing it out, Puth answered correctly that it was false. Instead, Chandler posted that Ross passed away from a blimp accident. Praising the implacable writing of the show, both stars moved ahead with the next questions in line. However, the singer fumbled a bit here.

The 59-year-old actress talked about the time when Chandler visited the Gellers on the 1987 Thanksgiving dinner. The question was about the name of the dish that Monica prepared that Bing complimented. “It’s mac and cheese,” exclaimed Cox, explaining the importance of that moment. But unfortunately, this was the only answer Puth did not know about Chandler Bing.

For the last Chandler moment, Puth actually got into his character and mimicked him. They talked about how Joey tried to be a teenager. But Puth knew exactly what Chandler said to Joey, “You’re a 31-year-old man!” And when Joey asked if he looked teenager, Bing said as Puth mimicked, “Honestly? Honestly, no. You look like your age, which is 31.” Answering almost all the questions about the show correctly, Charlie Puth indeed proved to be a true Friends fan way before his recent tribute to the late actor.
