‘Family Guy’ Spoof for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Scales Up; Del Taco Issues Response after Deal Tease
Whether Meghan Markle and Prince Harry like it or not, the world sure loves a joke made at their expense. When South Park introduced audiences to the privacy world tour skit by dedicating an entire episode to the Sussexes, it blew up faster than the rebellious royals’ infamous Megxit. Well, Family Guy decided to do their own rendition of a skit on the couple’s shenanigans. In its latest episode, the show poked fun at the deals that have fallen into the Sussexes’ laps.
One part that referred to a marketing scheme of Del Taco has now jumped into the real-life domain.

When Family Guy ended their skit about Markle and Prince Harry with a comment on a “$250,000 Instagram post” for Del Taco, the fast-food chain was taking notes. Now, they have joined the parade of memes that the scene kicked off by sharing a post regarding it to X (formerly known as Twitter). In it, Del Taco reminded the Duke and Duchess that it was “waiting” for “the post” to “go up” as promised in the episode.
Although the Suits star is currently inactive on social media, it was earlier believed that she was set to make a comeback soon. It seems like the skit was hinting at the anticipation for that to occur and the sponsorship deals that are bound to follow after it does. Besides the money that the couple has raked from such sponsors, Family Guy also alluded to another factor.
That was the controversial Netflix deal that Markle and the prince had landed earlier.

Following their departure from the British royal family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ventured into various agreements with major players to fulfill their financial needs. Among them was an alleged $100 million deal with Netflix. Another was their podcast contract with Spotify, which was believed to be worth $20 million. While the Spotify deal is now scrapped and the Netflix one seems to be headed the same way, they still managed to secure these rather substantial sums.
With the Family Guy spoof adding a touch of humor to this situation, the prospect of the couple exploring social media for economic support has become all the more possible. Considering the hefty sums that the duo has enjoyed by keeping their relevancy alive, such skits were bound to pour in. After all, half the world is convinced that the Sussexes are deliberately stirring up controversies for the sake of cashing in on them.
