Henry Cavill may go down in history as one of Hollywood’s leading men, but the actor did not catch his first big break until 2007 with The Tudors. Ever since, the actor may have dipped his toes into various other projects, but only one has constantly been adding to his growing net worth. Even though the star has since given up his role as Superman, he has amassed a staggering net worth of $50 million. While the actor may be off on a new journey to finding himself, it seems that the actor may owe his net worth to his older superhero films.

With hit after hit, it is no surprise that Henry Cavill is one of America’s favorites. However, he may owe his net worth to his stint with DC as the beloved character Superman.

According to reports by The Things, it was revealed that Henry Cavill’s time with the Superman franchise had helped his net worth rise. While the 2013 Zack Snyder film, Man of Steel, started it all by grossing $668 million globally, the actor ended up earning only $14 million for his first appearance as Superman. In 2016, the DC film Batman vs. Superman ended up grossing over $873 million globally, which went on to be Cavill’s highest-grossing Superman film.

While there was no confirmation of how much the actor made from his other appearances in the franchise, it was reported that the actor had earned $20 million when he starred in Joss Whedon’s Justice League back in 2017. Apart from his films, the actor also ended up earning a staggering $250,000 for two of his DC cameos in Jaume Collet-Serra’s film, Black Adam and David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which did not hurt the rise of the actor’s net worth.

The first film, Argylle, will portray a spy who loses his memory and convinces himself that he is a writer. While the film unravels, the spy is said to start remembering his past and ends up going after a secret organization. The film fits the genre the actor is used to and will probably have fans on the edge of their seats. The other film is also an action-packed spy thriller, but unlike Argylle, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will be based on a book by Damien Lewis.
