Arnold Schwarzenegger might have retired from the film industry and sports, but he is still one of the most influential people on earth. The 75-year-old still inspires millions of people with his life stories and words and shows them the way of living. But a con of being a celebrity is that you get haters for free along with your fans. And though he has millions of fans, there are some critics of the former governor of California.

But do you know who his biggest critic is? It’s none other than Schwarzenegger himself. As per Barbend, in February 2018, the veteran actor gave an interview with Cigar Aficionado, in which he opened up about his extremely critical outlook on himself. He said, “When I look in the mirror, I throw up,” as he opened up about his struggle with his image.

This seems almost impossible to believe that a highly respected man who has accomplished so much in life will be so critical of himself. It is also very difficult to believe because there is usually the notion that stars are very self-obsessed. This can be concluded from the fact that they spend so much time on themselves that they automatically develop the tendency to be narcissistic. However, that is not the case for the seven times Mr. Olympia winner.

What else does Arnold Schwarzenegger think about himself?

The Predator actor mentioned that self-criticism is something that he developed when he was way too young. He has always been this way even when he was in the best shape of his life. Schwarzenegger told the magazine that when he simultaneously won Mr. Olympia’s title, he used to look in the mirror and say, “How did this pile of s— win?”

He also said that he never completely believed in the concept of perfection. The End of the Days star always thought that there was something lacking and that is what pushed him to become the best. Although sometimes it can cause a lack of confidence which Schwarzenegger thinks happened with him.
