“Royal staff were in communication with Rebekah Brooks”- Murdoch’s CEO Admitted to Turn Down Prince Harry’s Claims
Prince Harry and his crusade against the Murdoch Papers has started to bewilder the masses. The case took an unexpected turn in its latest proceedings. With the best of lawyers fighting for both sides, this time the NGN has seemingly played smoothly with the Duke and his lawyers. The Duke had previously alleged in his witness statement some stirring claims against the UK tabloids and their connection with the royal family. However, none of them could be proved. With numerous failed trials to get the trial, it now seems a distant dream. The claims against the newspaper backfired on the Duke.
The two most shocking claims in his witness statement included how Prince William has been bribed a lump sum by the papers for silence on the whirlwind of controversies. Meanwhile, the rogue Prince also accused his father of taking unfit personal decisions that always catered to the “evil stepmother” Camilla. Nonetheless, the NGN had denied to comment on the accusations as a part of an “ongoing process.”

The now-CEO of Murdoch’s British arm, Brooks, and Robert Thomson, the Chief Executive of News Corp, had got something to affirm in the cases in 2017 and 2018. According to Reuters, “Royal staff were in communication with Rebekah Brooks” as Sally Osman, from the royal communications, to “draw a line” under the dispute. However, Harry’s lawyers have argued that there was no evidence provided by Brooks and Thomson. The two steered clear of their allegations, stating they were not at the NGN in 2012 when the case was struck.
The entire fuss again goes back to the “secret arrangement” between the palace and the company. Their lawyers claimed that even if there was such an agreement, it would not have come into effect until the dismissal of all other phone-hacking litigation.
What are the other lawsuits Prince Harry is fighting?
The fifth in line to the throne has four parallel cases going on against the UK tabloids. The one simultaneous heated battle other than the NGN is with The Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN). The Duke has reportedly sought damage or 560,000 USD Dollars.

Following the Johnny Depp versus Amber Heard trial, this was probably one of the most televised court proceedings of the decade.
