Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman may be ready for some costume play now. The date to begin shooting Deadpool 3 is coming close. While the actor has been busy bulking up, celebrating Wrexham and a new baby, the Marvel movie may require all his attention. Once the shoot commences, all their energies will go into serving some epic action scenes, as the fans expect no less.

While the team will try their best to keep things under wrap, little updates on the progress will continue. With the movie announcing a 2024 release, Marvel has apparently assigned a working title to the project.

The Deadpool 3 team has begun building pieces together

When Marvel’s Kevin Feige acquired Deadpool, the anti-hero theme surprised everyone with its success. Even before the third part could begin, the 4th was green-lit by Marvel. For the third part, Ryan Reynolds has famously teamed up with friend Hugh Jackman as he convinced the latter to reprise his role one last time. As they embrace for an intense shoot, Marvel has titled the project ‘Tidal Wave’ as of now. The movie about the merc-with-a-mouth will be produced under the banner of Richmond Street Productions, both domestically and internationally.

Now, the reason for giving it a working title goes beyond the need to maintain privacy. The ‘Ultimatum’ comic described Magento on a path for revenge amidst the city of New York being hit by a tidal wave. Perhaps the angle will make a part of Deadpool 3‘s plot. Since speculations add to the excitement of fans, Magneto’s name also came up several times.

Considering the production company, some parts of it could be shot in the UK. Meanwhile, here is a look at the cast and crew.

Friend and director Shawn Levy will be keeping the Wrexham owner’s focus on the movie as he directs it. The duty to write some hilarious, explicit, and over-the-top jokes lies on writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who will be joined by Zeb Wells. Emma Corin and Matthew Macfadyen will join the cast list, finally dipping their toes in the comic book adaptation world. The movie is so far said to release on 8th November 2024.
