Netflix shared a special video on YouTube which shows us how Shadow and Bone look without VFX, which is highly impressive.

Shadow and Bone is a Netflix Original action-adventure series which has some fantastic content. It premiered on the giant streaming titan in April 2021. Since its release, Shadow and Bone has been highly popular among subscribers. They already want a second season for the series created by Eric Heisserer, who’s also known for his work on Bird Box and Arrival.

Even though Netflix won’t release Shadow and Bone season 2 soon, they’re giving the fans plenty of special content from it. They shared some bloopers a few days ago, for example. Now, they released a special video showing us the VFX that gives the series its fantastic, special vibe. Given the actors’ plain performances in front of a green screen, as opposed to what we see on the screen, everything is pretty impressive. Here’s the video that Netflix shared.

The series is about an orphan mapmaker named Alina Starkov, who accidentally finds out that she can change the fate of the war. She is the only person with the ability to summon light, which is what makes her play a key role in the conflict.

Shadow and Bone is adapted from Leigh Bardugo’s first novel of her Grisha trilogy, which has the same name as the series. The producers are probably going to use the other novels to make possible new seasons.

Eric Heisserer is the creator of the series for Netflix. He has experience working on other sci-fi blockbusters such as Arrival (2016) and Bird Box (2018).

Netflix hasn’t officially greenlit the following season for its popular action series Shadow and Bone. However, it doesn’t seem very likely that they’ll just cancel the series after this season. The streaming titan is probably going to announce a second season soon.

Besides, the series is reportedly renewed for a second season. We can also expect Netflix to announce Shadow and Bone season 2 in no time.

However, the creator of the series has had some plans about season 2 for a long time. “I have exhaustive plans and would love to activate them,” he says. “If you were to see my home office right now, I do look like one of those crazy people with the murder board where there’s just a bunch of maps and charts and string connecting things. The creative team and I are ready to roll if we hear that we get to come back.”
