Humans have used theatres as a platform to tell stories since the beginning of civilization. This art form has evolved and grown over time. But it is considered to be the tree from which many other art forms, including filmmaking, have sprouted. And World Theatre Day is celebrated to commemorate the importance of this art form.

Miranda being his amazing self lends his voice to all the songs making sure you sing along every single time.

Les Misérables

This musical, directed by Tom Hooper, is an epic historical period musical based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 French book. Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sacha Baron Cohen lead an ensemble cast in the picture.

Apart from a breathtaking score and ingenious technique of Hopper of making the cast sing live. The exceptional acting by the cast is sure to transcend you to the historical setting of the musical.

The Prom

The movie is about down-on-their-luck Broadway stars, who unite behind a kid who wants to attend prom with her girlfriend, causing a stir in a tiny Indiana town. The movie is perfect for a night you want to leave all the tiredness behind and just relax. And of course, with the likes of Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman signing it is just a watch you can’t miss.
