Formula 1: Drive to Survive confirms for season 3 at Netflix. This is the most-known and watched sports car documentary renewed and back for a third season in 2021.

There are a lot of docu-series on Netflix platform, especially as a sports world. But one of the sport series Formula 1 documentary series is so popular on the streaming service. When we back to 2018, Netflix and Formula One collaboration for the documentary series. The docu-series also covers exclusive behind-the-scenes at the drivers and races of the 2018 and 2019 Formula One World Championships. Then they also announce to continue this for the upcoming seasons. According to the RaceFans website, season 3 renewed and coming to 2021.

Formula 1 CEO and Chase Carey confirms and says: “Following on the strong results of the first two seasons of the Netflix show Drive to Survive the film crews are already at work filming the season 3. ”

When is the release date of Formula 1: Drive to Survive season 3?

There’s no official release date yet. However, according to other seasons gap between 12-14 months. This means Drive to Survive season 3 will probably release February or March on Netflix.

Here’s the official synopsis for last season: 

“The dynamic series returns with another ten parts, following the high-stakes and adrenaline-fueled action of the fastest sport in the world. Only 20 drivers get to compete in Formula 1 and with some of the sport’s top names racing for new teams, 2019 proved to be a season of broken alliances and renewed rivalries.  In season 2 for the first time, all 10 teams, including Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team and Scuderia Ferrari, gave Netflix insider access as they battled it out for victory in the greatest racing series in the world.

The series goes behind the scenes with the drivers, team principals, and owners, to gain a unique and raw perspective on their lives, both on and off the track, and the tension and glamour of the sport. ”

What do we expect for season 3 of this documentary series?

For 2020 seasons, not everything going well because of that pandemic suspended the seasons. When the pandemic reduced, Formula 1 continues and the shortened season with many races happens together and the seasons ended up with this November 2020 on Abu Dhabi GP.
