Meghan Markle and Prince Harry achieved an extraordinary feat by cracking the code of inclusivity and resilience with the Invictus Games. It is one of the most impactful causes that the couple has championed and easily made headlines owing to the innovative format. While Prince Harry may have brought the game into action through various difficulties, this year it was the Invictus Games that re-birthed him and his wife by casting them in a much-needed positive light.

The Sussexes, through their attendance at the Invictus Games, effectively managed to climb back into the spotlight and shut down divorce rumors for the most part. However, this public display of affection has brushed many the wrong way.

For a couple who was once described as the picture definition of a modern royal love story, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have to deal with an abundance of separation rumors. Such separation rumors reached an all-time high as the couple dealt with failing deals and friendships. While they managed to brush it off through various swoon-worthy moments at the Invictus Games, Sharon Osbourne, former X-Factor judge, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and labeled their public displays of affection “disingenuous.”

Osbourne has not always been vocal about her distaste for Meghan Markle, and this time she found their public display of affection insincere and just wanted a break from it. This is not the first time that the Sussexes have garnered rage because of indulging in romantic affection in front of the media. While the former X-Factor judge may have chastised about their on-the-face public display of affection, she did take a moment to applaud Prince Harry.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s image has been dragged through the mud in the past months as they were labelled as “grifters” by a Spotify Executive on top of losing their million-dollar deal. Not only did the Californian royals lose a platform and a few million, but this also put their upcoming projects at stake while also leading most of their Hollywood friendships to fall. The Invictus Games 2023 is the best thing that has happened to them in a while.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex can use the positive attention of the games as the foundation stone for a big comeback. But it might already be too late for that, given the plethora of awkward moments at the Kevin Costner-hosted Charity event. If the Sussexes do not announce their anticipated production projects soon, they might find themselves in the dark once again.
