First Look Revealed: Raising Dion Season 2 Coming to Netflix in February 2022

After the first season was launched in 2019, fans of Raising Dion have waited patiently for quite a while for season 2 despite getting news of a renewal in January 2020. They don’t have much longer to wait now as Raising Dion Season 2 will premiere globally on February 1st, 2022, exclusively on Netflix.

It is an American superhero drama streaming television series that was inspired by Dennis Liu’s 2015 comic book and the short film of the same name. Liu, the author of the comic book, has been involved in the production of this Netflix series. He even directed an episode and also served as an executive producer throughout.

After Season 1 of Raising Dion, Netflix announced the renewal of Season 2. Carol Barbee will return as the showrunner of Season 2, and Michael B. Jordan, Kenny Goodman, Kim Roth, Dennis Liu, and Charles D. King’s Macro will be the executive producers of this sequel season.

More than 32 million households have watched the Raising Dion in the first four weeks. Hence, it is clear that it is popular and many of these households may even re-watch the show in the month before the sophomore season hits the streamer.

What to expect from Raising Dion Season 2

After a cliff-hanging experience from Season 1, Season 2 will be about if our superhero can bring his dad back home or not. As Dion is a superhero, he still has to face a lot of challenges and needs to learn how to control his powers. Fans want more seasons of Raising Dion because it will be fun to watch Dion grow from a small boy to a young adult.

The official synopsis of Season 2 read as, “Season 2 follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye. After befriending new student Brayden (Griffin Robert Faulkner)—a fellow powered kid—a series of alarming events unfold, and Dion learns that danger is still looming. Navigating twists, turns, and surprise visitors, Dion and Nicole must prevail again — not just to save themselves, but the entire city of Atlanta.”
