Is Edens Zero coming to Netflix in 2021?

What is the release date of Edens Zero on Netflix? One of the biggest and most famous space fantasy anime series will land on Netflix soon.

Edens Zero is one of the best science fantasy series written by Hiro Mashima. The anime made its way to Weekly Shonen Magazine and was picked up by Kodansha USA later on. On June 12, fans learned out that there would be an adaptation of the manga series too. And a year later Edens Zero made its debut on Nippon TV in Japan and gained a massive fanbase. Now, we are going to get to watch the adaptation on Netflix. The streaming giant set a global premiere date for the anime and it will be available to watch in a couple of days. So let’s dive and find out what the anime is about when it is coming, and what to expect.

The long-awaited anime series will arrive on Netflix in August 2021. We are actually days away from the release date. Edens Zero will be available to stream worldwide on August 26, 2021. We learned the release date during the Netflix Geeked Week event and also found out that it will have a total of 25 episodes.

The anime follows a young boy named Shiki who lives in an abandoned amusement park. Shiki has lived all of his life among robots, animatronics, and machines. Though he is quite unique as he has the ability to bend gravity. One day, he meets new visitors who landed in the amusement park for research and discovery. Shiki joins these new people and goes on a journey in a spaceship called Edens Zero. And they try to meet a space goddess who is also known as Mother.

Here’s the official synopsis of the upcoming anime:

“At Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robot-rebellion… And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.”

We should note that you will only be able to watch the anime on Netflix. Now that the streaming giant has the broadcasting rights, expect new seasons and episodes to arrive later on. Though let’s add that the series will also be available on Hulu. But Crunchyroll, Funimation, or any other platform will not offer it to their subscribers.

The anime will come with 25 episodes when it finally drops on Netflix.
