One of the numerous rumors that have carried the hype of the upcoming Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman mutant saga, Deadpool & Wolverine has been undoubtedly the queen of pop, Taylor Swift. Numerous fan theories, subtle hints, and interviews of the filmmaker all pointed toward Swift standing a fair chance in the movie. Moreover, being so close to the Reynolds family including best friend, Blake Lively, Swift's increasing proximity with these two heavyweights had also substantiated the same until they could not.

Although no official confirmation has ever reached the exuberant fanbase, the latest updates have further led to fans' disappointment.

According to Entertainment Weekly's latest report, pop superstar Taylor Swift will not be making a special appearance in the upcoming Marvel film. The songstress "is not in the film,” claimed the report. The news puts a damper on earlier speculation that Swift would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in some capacity.

While the report seems to shut down hopes of a Swift cameo, it is important to note that the MCU is notorious for its secrecy. It is possible that a surprise appearance was filmed under wraps, keeping it hidden from prying eyes. Fans can hold on to hope that Swift's involvement might still be a secret worth keeping.

If Taylor Swift is out of the running, speculation swirls around who could play Lady Deadpool, a gender-swapped version of the Merc with a Mouth. Fans are rooting for actresses like Blake Lively, known for her charm and better inclusivity for having the Deadpool star by her all time. The role could also go to Margot Robbie, as her DC expertise along with her versatility and range, could also bring a captivating depth to the role.

Other possibilities include Emma Stone, with her proven comedic skills in Superbad and The Favourite, or Scarlett Johansson, who has already shown her superhero mettle as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moreover, not just this but the Dazzler role, once almost confirmed to do to Swift, also lies vacant now.
