Once Upon A Small Town Plot

The plot of this intriguing kdrama will follow a vet named Han Ji Yool who receives a call from his grandfather, who sounds like he is taking his last breaths. A concerned and crying Han Ji Yool reaches Heedong village only to find no one home.

In technical terms, Han Ji Yool is ‘scammed’ by his grandfather to take over their animal clinic in the village while he lives his best life touring Europe for a year. Over the course of twelve episodes, we will see Han Ji Yool meet new people, adjust to their simplicity, and learn how to love.

Get To Know The Characters of Netflix Kdrama Once Upon A Small Town

Starting off with Choo Young Woo who is a stick in the mud in the lively Heedong village. As a Seoulite, Choo Young Woo has a hard time adjusting to the over-friendly ways of the people of the countryside. However, he finds an unlikely helper in Ahn Ja Young.

The person in question, Ahn Ja Young, is a pretty police officer who had always wanted to stay in the village and help her people. When she sees Han Ji Yool struggling, she offers to help. Snarky at first, even the toughest of dogs melt at Ahn Ji Young’s smile. And Choo Young Woo is but only a man. The two start to find solace in one another. And as the saying as old as time goes, ‘opposites attract’ is once again proven to be right.

Lastly, Lee Sang Hyeol is a young boy in the village who is enamored by Ahn Ja Young and her kind nature. He sees an opponent in Han Ji Yool.
