Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is not your usual Marvel superhero. She explores all dark-themed crimes like rape and post-traumatic disorder which most superhero stories steer clear of. Even if someone doesn’t like superheroes they will definitely like Jessica Jones. The plot follows Jessica played by Krysten Ritter who crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath.  She and Trish played by Rachael Taylor must bond again, to take the psychopath down.

The Punisher

Starring Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, who uses lethal methods to fight crime as the vigilante “the Punisher.” The plot develops around Frank Castle played by Jon Bernthal, a former marine-vigilante, who has been living a quiet life on the road. But an attempted murder of a young girl embroiled him. In order to investigate the murder, he attracts his new and old enemies, who force him to embrace a life as The Punisher.

Luke Cage

Luke Cage is another popular show by Marvel with a well-developed hero and some good acting but is unfortunately saddled with the uninteresting villain. The plot follows Luke Cage played by Mike Colter, who after a destructive experiment on him leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin. Luke tries to rebuild his life in New York City. But he is pulled out of his new life and fights a battle for the city, which forced him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

The Defenders

This Marvel show is equivalent to the Avengers by MCU. All the superheroes fighting for the same cause. The plot develops around Daredevil AKA Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist AKA Danny Rand (Finn Jones), all the superheroes team up together to save New York City.
