Netflix’s Countdown is a 2019 American supernatural horror film by Justin Dec, starring Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman, Tichina Arnold, P.J. Byrne, Peter Facinelli, Anne Winters, and Tom Segura. They theatrically released the film in 2019 and earned $48 million worldwide against a $6.5 million budget. It has received mostly negative reviews from critics but is quite popular among the audience.

Bloody Disgusting has reviewed the film as, “We’ve seen these jump scares, and we’ve traveled this road many times before. It’s competently made and isn’t the worst way to spend an hour and a half, but it’s also pretty forgettable.”

The plot of the film follows a nurse who downloads an app on her phone, which tells her the amount of time left for her to live. Unfortunately, the time period was only three days. In these three days, she must find a way to fight her fate.

The Silence is a 2019 horror film by John R. Leonetti and starring Kiernan Shipka, Stanley Tucci, Miranda Otto, and John Corbet. The film is inspired by a 2015 novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon. The plot of the film follows a family who is trying to save their lives by a type of creature who hunts on humans by sound. In order to save their lives, the family seeks shelter in a cult. But, the cult tries to seek advantage of that family.
