Bridgerton has broken many Netflix viewing records since the day it released a December 25th, 2020. After achieving such enormous views and acclaim, the series has also been renewed for its second season. So the fans immediately started to wait eagerly for Bridgerton season 2 as well. And now, it seems there is a newcomer to season 2, Simone Ashley. Well, already wondering what she will do in our beloved series, right? Here is what we know about Bridgerton season 2‘s plans for Simone Ashley.

Julia Quinn has written the Bridgerton novel series and the Netflix original series is based on these books, as we all know. And from the start, viewers quickly bounded to the series and its characters. All fans started to opt for a favorite Bridgerton and social media overflowed with memes and fan art of the series.

To remember a little, or you may have no clue about the series yet, here is a little glimpse of the first season. It revolved around the eldest daughter of an unconventionally close-knit family, Daphne. We have met with all the family members of her which include their widowed mother Violet, and died father Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton. Daphne’s four brothers are Anthony, Benedict, Colin, and Gregory, and her four sisters, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, and Hyacinth. They all accompanied Daphne and us during her quest to find a husband.

So, Netflix has just announced that Simone Ashley will be the woman who becomes very involved in Anthony’s life, Kate.  Ashley is known for her work in Sex Education, Broadchurch, and The Sister.

Bridgerton season 2 will follow the second book which named The Viscount Who Loved Me. It is about the eldest Bridgerton, Anthony, who is titled, rich, and handsome. So that makes him quite sought and a perfect candidate for the ladies who also look for a suitable marriage and husband as you can understand. And on the contrast of our Duke of Hastings Simon Basset, Anthony will be looking for a woman suitable to be his Viscountess. So yes, maybe the storylines don’t always follow their original letters from the books in most adaptations. But it is official that Bridgerton season 2 will be focusing on Anthony, as in the book.

And Kate Sharma seems will be Anthony’s love interest in Bridgerton Season 2. She is a new flash to the expectations of Regency Era London but she is also smart and strong, so we have no worries that she is going to handle anything. And being a newcomer in the ton is never easy, also getting used to their rules, too. It will be really interesting to see how Kate will be handling things and how she and Anthony will come together in Bridgerton Season 2.
