Black Summer follows a group of people who tries to survive in the early stages of an apocalypse. The first season told mainly about Rose and the group in which she found herself. We should also state that Black Summer is actually a spin-off series of Z Nation.

Black Summer’s official trailer has landed on the official YouTube channel of Netflix. Although the pandemic-related restrictions caused the production to continue rather slow, the popular streaming platform announced the Black Summer season 2 release date with a trailer.

The harsh winter has come while the apocalypse continues. And the zombies are not the only threat. Black Summer season 2 will land on Netflix on June 17th, 2021.

The fans of the show have been waiting for over a year to watch the second season. The first season made its debut in April 2019. There is actually a huge time gap between the two seasons. Pandemic is definitely among the reasons why the production took its time. But the streaming giant also had a lot on its plate.

This long wait ends on June 17th, 2021. Black Summer season 2 will come with 8 episodes.

We currently do not know what is going to happen in the second season. Though the thriller series ended in such a way that waiting has never been this difficult. Before we continue with the short recap, we should say that there are spoilers ahead.

The fight before downtown got out of control after Carmen turned into a zombie. This particular scene was not liked by the viewers and the majority believed that the scene did not make any sense. Because after Carmen died, the group lost control and started panicking. Yet this is actually what Black Summer does so well.

In the eighth episode, the atmosphere of panic and not knowing what to do overrun the survivors. First, they tried to move as one unit and killed the zombies on sight. But after seeing one of them turn into a zombie, they have lost control and scattered in seconds. As they are actually an untrained group of people with guns, this is actually pretty realistic.

Zombie apocalypse fans know that the characters are always on thin ice which means that we can always see new faces in the cast. We do not know which new actors and actresses we are going to see in the Black Summer season 2 cast.
