Netflix shared the official trailer of Biohackers season 2, which will mark the return of the popular thriller.

Biohackers is a German-language Netflix Originals sci-fi thriller. As you may understand, it’s about a medical student who discovers the use of biohacking technologies. It’s a nice series to binge on Netflix with its thrilling episodes.

It first debuted on the popular streaming platform in August 2021. Despite not being a blockbuster, Biohackers was pretty popular among many viewers. Right now, it has an IMDb rating of 6.8. Fans have been waiting for the second season of Biohackers for some time, and Netflix, fortunately, didn’t make them wait for too long. We finally have an official trailer in our hands.

Biohackers season 2 is going to be on the popular streaming platform on July 9th, exclusively. We only have around a month to wait until the release of the new season.

The first season ended on quite a cliffhanger. Therefore, fans are wondering what awaits them in the second season.

“It’s great that Biohackers will continue. Thematically, the second season will also deal with moral and ethical issues around biohacking and genome editing,” said the creator earlier.

Here’s what you can expect from the second season:

“After successfully exposing illegal experiments with DNA in Season 1, med student Mia Akerlund suddenly realizes she has lost her short-term memory for the past 3 months. In the attempt to understand what happened, she finds herself in the middle of a much bigger situation that will push her to the edge.”

For those uninitiated, let us talk about the series in general. As we mentioned before, it’s a thriller series with a highly addictive nature. The premise is pretty interesting for sci-fi lovers, too, as Biohackers focus on a medical student who finds out about advanced biohacking tech in her university town.

Here’s Netflix’s synopsis of the first season of Biohackers.

“From THC chips to genetic enhancements, welcome to the world of Biohacking. When “Mia” (Luna Wedler) begins her medical degree, she seems like any other student. But when she gains the trust of the brilliant Professor Lorenz (Jessica Schwarz), it becomes apparent that she’s hiding a secret so big it could change the fate of humanity.”
