Has Netflix announced the BEASTARS season 3 release date yet? Will the beloved anime series return with another season?

Beastars is one of the best animes on the popular streaming platform that you can watch right now. The anime series depicts a world of anthropomorphic animals and offers a solid narrative. With its two seasons airing on Japan and Netflix, BEASTARS has received critical acclaim and gained a massive fanbase around the world.

After watching the second season which landed on July 15th, 2021. And the fans are waiting to find out what will happen to Legoshi as he finally met the person he is looking for. His relationship with Haru is also in question so there are lots of mysteries revolving around the anime.

That being said, we do not have any official info regarding the current status of the title. No side including Studio Orange or Netflix has made any comments concerning a possible release date.

The anime feels like it is going to be one of those titles as it is loved by millions of viewers worldwide. It also became very popular in the Netflix Anime category for a couple of weeks and stayed in the top 10 charts for a while. On top of that, there are still lots of material to cover. So it is highly unlikely that Netflix will cancel the anime series. In fact, if the streaming service decides to continue with the third season, we might actually hope for the fourth season too.

The manga has 196 chapters in total. The anime adaptation has covered 100 of them. So there are still lots of material for the anime.

If the production for the third chapter starts right away, the earliest possible release date would be around mid-2022. Though that is not the release date for Netflix. Knowing that most of the animes are stuck in Netflix Jail due to their original run. For this anime, the time gap was 6 months. So when a new season drops, Netflix subscribers have to wait a bit longer for the show to complete its original airing.

As the streaming giant does not usually simulcast, we will have to wait to get our hands on the new episodes. For the release date on Netflix, Fall 2022 seems like a realistic guess. Though it might be in early 2023 as well. In any case, it is safe to say that we are not going to watch the new episodes before 2021 ends.

Currently, there aren’t any teaser or trailer videos online. That’s because the production for the new season has not completely started yet. Assuming that the studio gets greenlit and starts focusing on the third season, we might see a trailer in mid or early 2022. Until that, you can always rewatch the series as it is available on the streaming service with its two seasons.
