Riot Games shared new footage trailer from Arcane, which is an animated League of Legends series that’ll be released on Netflix.
As you might remember, Netflix and Riot Games announced Arcane back in this May with a short teaser. Ever since then, they have been teasing the fans with some clips and occasional announcements. Fans are eagerly waiting for the series to drop as Riot Games is pretty successful when it comes to narrative and animation. It seems we’re getting closer and closer to the release. That’s because Riot Games just shared another clip for Arcane. You can watch the footage below!
We see the backstory of Jinx and Vi, who are going to be archrivals later. They sit on a roof in their city Piltover and chat. The previous clip showed us a different timeframe though. In that, the focus was on Jinx, who was very much older than this.
As far as I’m concerned, the latest clip looks fire, just like the previous ones. If you like how the clips look but aren’t familiar with the series, let us tell you more about Arcane.
What is the synopsis of Arcane?
Arcane is an animated series based on Riot Games’ popular video game League of Legends. Its story is about two sisters who take very different paths later in life. While one of them is the protector of the city, the other one is a havoc wreaker. We’ll see how the relationship between Jinx and Vi will change throughout the series.
Here’s the Netflix synopsis of Arcane:
“Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart.”
What is the release date of Arcane?
We only know that Arcane is coming to Netflix sometime in Fall 2021. However, we’re getting real close to that period and the number of clips is increasing. This might mean Netflix can give us the release date at any time.
Usually, Netflix shares the release dates with an official trailer that comes almost a month before the actual release. So, you can also expect to see the trailer of Arcane with its release date.
Who is producing Arcane?
Netflix and Riot Games are teaming up with each other to create Arcane.
We already know that Netflix is pretty interested in video games now. Not only because of the success of Castlevania, The Witcher, and Dota: Dragon’s Blood, but also they’re working on adding video games to the service. The Dota anime was a huge success for the streamer, and this one for League of Legends might even be better.
That’s because Riot Games is also capable of pulling off great cinematic experiences. Their animated stories for the video games are so immersing that fans want them to create an actual series. Well, the dream is coming to life as Arcane will come to Netflix this fall.
We’ll see whether Netflix and Riot can meet – or even exceed our expectations with Arcane.
