Here is everything we know about Netflix‘s animated League of Legends series Arcane including its release date, cast, trailers, and more.

Arcane is a Netflix original animated series that’ll be based on the story of the video game League of Legends. A part of it, to be precise, as the lore behind the game is too big to be animated fully.

League of Legends developer Riot Games announced Arcane last year. It was a part of their 10th-anniversary celebrations, and they announced many other projects besides Arcane then. We only knew that Arcane would be on “some streaming platform,” but Netflix announced the acquisition later.

It was only after May 3rd that Netflix announced the project officially with a short announcement teaser.

There are many questions regarding Arcane and its details. Here is everything we currently know about this new League of Legends animated series.

First things first, let’s talk about what Arcane will tell of. We already know it’s going to tell a League of Legends story, but there are lots of them. The series will specifically focus on Jinx and Vi.

Those two champions have a history between them. Vi is a law enforcement officer who works to protect Piltover, while Jinx is a loose cannon who’s very mischievous. The latter is known for pulling some criminally dangerous pranks on Piltover’s bourgeoisie. On the other hand, Vi is a policewoman who gets things done, which explains why she’s known as “The Piltover Enforcer.”

Here is what we can expect from Arcane.

“Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart.”

Netflix has not announced the exact release date of Arcane. However, they declared that it will be on Netflix in Fall 2021. This means we’re going to see the animated series on Netflix this September, October, or November.

October 2021 seems like a feasible window for Netflix, but there’s nothing official on the exact date yet.

We don’t know anyone from the voicing cast as of now. Netflix has yet to make an announcement on that. However, we’re getting closer to the release date, and they might be planning on giving us some information soon.

We know that the producer is Riot Games, and it’s a big thing, to be honest. That’s because Riot is known for its excellent animations for various games, such as League of Legends and VALORANT. Many players insisted that they do an animated series at that point, and Riot is doing it right now. Given their earlier animations, it seems Riot is underway for one more brilliant work, which is a whole series.

They just shared a new trailer of Arcane, which is presumably a whole scene from the series. The movement of Jinx seems very smooth, and viewers specifically pointed this detail out. You can check out the latest trailer of Arcane below.
