Commentator Wade Barrett casually snuck in a Demon Slayer reference to hype things up during a huge match. Barrett alludes to the fact that WWE superstar Zelina Vega’s current look bears a strange resemblance to Demon Slayer’s Rengoku. Barrett spoke, “Vega’s hair references the character Rengoku from Demon Slayer.”
The former WWE star even gave away a huge spoiler from the show during his commentary. Many of you might know that Vega would be going head to head against Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s SmackDown championship title this weekend. Seeing Vega struggle against Ripley, Barrett referenced how Rengoku dies in the series, hinting towards a similar fate for Vega.
While many of you might feel that Barrett casually drew parallels between Vega and Rengoku, he actually gave a huge spoiler. Rengoku’s death happened in the Mugen Train arc, which was a film between seasons 1 and 2 and is a shocker for anyone not keeping up with the show since its first season.
Meanwhile, the Demon Slayer fanbase is awaiting the release of the current season’s sixth episode after the explosive episode 5.
