Tomo Chan Is A Girl, when it first premiered, left the fans in a little doubt owing to its title. Usually in the anime genre, the show announced their sequels before the initial season come to an end. However, the same is not the case with Tomo Chan Is A Girl. Despite the fact that the show will be coming to an end, there are no updates on the second season.
The series follows the story of Tomo Aizawa, a tomboy high school student who is in love with her childhood best friend, Junichiro Kubota. The series gives us a glimpse of her incredible friendship as they help Tomo win Jun’s heart. Meanwhile, in the process, they end up with hilarious issues of their own.
While the premise is interesting, will the anime see a season 2? It doesn’t seem like it will.

Why is season 2 of Tomo Chan Is A Girl seem unlikely?
Based on the manga of the same name, Tomo Chan Is A Girl manga first released worldwide in 2016. Spanning over three years, the original source nearly has 900 chapters divided in eight volumes. However, despite having such a massive source material, there are a few reasons why season 2 seems unlikely.

Firstly, each chapter of the anime is short, therefore a single episode of the anime comprised several chapters. As surprising as it sounds, the new arc of episode 11 was from volume 7 of the anime. Safe to assume, by the final episode, the show will have likely covered the entirety of the manga.
