The 28-second-long clip is reminiscent of the quirky style of animation, which was unique to the 90s. This upcoming transformation seen in the clip will mark a major upgrade to Luff’y powers in many ways.

With the Tom & Jerry soundtrack playing in the background, the clip is almost a surreal portal to another dimension. A dimension where One Piece is made in the iconic Cartoon Network style, making Luffy’s stretchy legs even more comical than they already are.

The clip comes as a respite to the anime’s fans considering the recent heartbreak they received at the hands of Netflix recently.

The upcoming live adaptation of the anime on Netflix has already received backlash before even launching. Because when the OTT mogul unveiled one of its promotional posters, it was deemed “cheap” among other negative comments. It featured Iñaki Godoy and other cast members in a rather unflattering rendition.
