Netflix was truly fighting tooth and nail as it tried to convince the anime fandom that its $138 million One Piece live-action adaptation is not another Death Note. Fortunately for the streamer, fans of the Straw Hat Pirates showered ten more cups of love for every criticism that they put the live-action series through, as witnessed by the surpassing of the 30,000,000 view mark within the first two weeks of premiere. Therefore, the confirmation of One Piece Season 2 is no surprise.

The streamer deemed it best that the mastermind behind the source, Eiichiro Oda, himself deliver the highly anticipated news about One Piece Season 2. The announcement exceeded expectations as it confirmed a key character in the chronicles of One Piece. However, there is no such thing as fulfilling fan expectations.
