Naruto, perhaps one of the greatest anime in the world, took the world by storm ever since it premiered worldwide. The Masashi Kishimoto original has always been one of the most loved anime there is. The legacy Naruto left behind is not unknown to the masses garnering an immense fan following around the world. The show follows the story of Naruto Uzumaki a ninja who aims to become the greatest shinobi under the learnings of some great sensei. Naruto had no shortage of excellent teachers and recently fans picked out the top 5 sensei from the show.

Throughout the course of its run, we saw some incredible teachers in Naruto. The sensei-shinobi bond in the show left the anime fans in awe as we saw some immaculate moments evolve out of it.  Furthermore, the sensei played a major role in forming the great ninjas the show is popular for. The sensei even had significant impact on the storyline of the show. Not long ago, a poll held by Naruto 99 showed what the fans felt about who the top 5 teachers from the show are. The poll gathered a whooping 174,123 votes and the result might surprise you.

5) Asuma Sarutobi

In the fifth position, we have Asuma Sarutobi, one of the most underrated sensei in the anime. While Sarutobi did not have much screen time in the show, he surely taught us how a good sensei should be.

For instance he left big impression on us as he taught Ino care more about her than just her appearance. Furthermore, he left Choji look out for than just barbecue. He had 8182 votes in total.

4) Might Guy

Next up, we have Might Guy, another underrated character in the show. While his contribution to the show was not as impactful as other sensei, his methods were very effective. Furthermore it was under his training that the show’s super popular character Rock Lee trained. He had a total of 22,353 points.

3) Jiraiya

Taking the third place on the list was Jiraiya. Jiraiya is perhaps one of the most iconic characters in the anime. His time as a ninja was and as a sensei was so fierce that people could only hope to level him in battle, let alone defeat him. He trained some exceptional shinobis including Naruto Uzumaki.

Jiraiya garnered 34,215 votes from the anime fans.

2) Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi Hatake, a name the anime fans are in awe of. Even if one has not watched the show, he can attest to the fact that they have at least heard Kakashi’s name. The sensei raised and trained some legendary characters in the show including Sasuke. His time as a sensei in the show was incredible.

His training made Sasuke so fierce that he could even match Gara, one of the strongest shinobi in the show. Kakashi received a whooping 50,037 votes in total.

1) Minato Namikaze

As surprising as it sounds, the number one on the list is yet again Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage. Not long ago, Minato even won the poll for the most popular character in Naruto. Naruto’s father had an incredible team himself alongside Kakashi and Rin. Minato raised an incredible ensemble willing to sacrifice for the greater good. He grabbed the top spot as the sensei with 59,236 votes.
