If there is one thing that can be learned from anime fans, then it is patience. Animes usually have a gap of at least a year or so before a brand-new season rolls out. This is so as the process of making a single episode is labor intensive, that stretches up to 1-2 weeks. On the other hand, there are times when production houses wait for the new chapter to release, as most of them are based on manga. 

Irrespective of the time they need to release, fans wait patiently as they are hardly left with any other choice. One such anime that made fans restless for 2 years is Baki Hanma and the trailer for the new season 2 is finally out now, making fans go crazy.

Baki Hanma’s season 1 dropped two years back in 2021 on Netflix and was an instant hit among anime lovers. There was no doubt that after waiting for so long, fans would go gaga when the trailer of the upcoming season 2 will release. The new season will release in two parts on Netflix with The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga coming on July 26, followed by The Father VS Son Saga on August 24.

The adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki’s Hanma Baki – Son of Ogre manga series was loved by fans ever since its release due to many reasons. Some of them include exciting action, well-developed characters, an engaging story, and top-notch animation. The complexity of Baki Hanma’s characters is something that has stayed long with the fans and they are eagerly waiting to see where it goes with the upcoming season.

Fans cannot contain their excitement

The Baki Hanma season 2 trailer became the talk of the town, with fans getting all hyped up for the upcoming season. The trailer revealed that Wagakki Band and UPSTART are the theme-song artists of the anime, performing ‘The Beast’ and ‘WILDER’ respectively. As for the expectations from the new season, the Netflix description for The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga describes the unleashing of a ‘prehistoric man’ who shouldn’t have ‘existed’.

This clearly indicates that fans can gear up for more action sequences from the new season with Baki planning to fight up this new villain, similar to him defeating Olivia. And needless to say, fans can’t wait for the new season to drop.

Some fans described the trailer as “a great way to start the day” while others were excited to see the Pickle Arc coming live on screen. They wrote, “Finally we can witness the Pickle Arc in all its glory without having to worry about bad scans or translations,” under the youTuve video. Another wrote, “As a manga reader, the arc goes hard and has some great moments.”

The general fan sentiment seems to be excitement as they look forward to re-entering the world of Baki Hanma after the long gap. From calling the new season a blessing to wondering about the strongest in the series, the anime seems to be garnering much buildup since the trailer came out.
